About Me
Hello my name is Luis Garcia, I am a senior at Lindsay High School and here i will be taking about my life here in Lindsay. I will also be telling you about me growing up, the challenging stuff I've been through, the sacrifices my parents had to do to be all together, and also me entering school and how difficult it was for me to adapt to this new school district.
As the oldest child in my family I've been through a lot with my parents. My dad was born in Michoacan, Mexico and my mom was born in Long Beach, CA. My parents met at work and they had this instant spark between them because of how well they worked together. Soon they got married and a few months later they had me which was hard at first because I am the oldest in my family and they didn't know what to expect. Growing up in Long Beach was really tough because of all the gang members and drugs so much more so that's why we moved here in Lindsay. My dad's sister recommended for us to live here and so we took her advice and honestly its the best decision we've ever made. Of course it was like 3 hours away and and the climate here is really different which was hard for me to adapt.
Growing up in the valley was super difficult for me and my family because you didn't know anyone here and the school system is really different in Long Beach, but I love this school system because it helps kids/teens like me to work even harder and motivate themselves to get good and high grades. Of course my parents didn't know that schools here has bilingual schools, because when I was growing up I only knew one language and they thought with this it can help me with my Spanish and so I can learn a new language but I didn't qualify but I enter in 3rd grade and 2nd grade was the limit back then and sadly i didn't get a chance to learn it but my friends and family have been helping me to learn the basics on Spanish.
After many school years went by I learned so much thanks to this matrix system I have expanded my knowledge in ways that I cannot imagine. It's been exacted 10 years in being in this school system and its my last year of being in this system and hope fully graduate. It's been really hard to adapt to this way of learning skills and I'm still learning. Both of my parents try their very best and help their oldest son with all the supplies and knowledge that I need to success all my 12 years of school without being in a 5th year in high school. Without my family and friends helping my to gain my knowledge to the way it is right now I really don't know how I'll be right now.
The goal I have set for after I graduate High School I plan to attend college for as long as I want and to get as much knowledge that I need to be the best that I can be. I have a small list on what college I really plan too when I graduate I plan to go to College Of Sequoias, Poterville College, Fresno City College, Long Beach State and the one I really hope for is Reedly community college because everyone says its a great school to go to and it's really fast and get whatever they need really good. This is my last year of high school and I really want to do the best I can to finish everything so I can attend the school I want and the career I've been wanted for years now and I want to be the best I can be. College will be tough but I assure that I will be tougher and wont give up that easily. Through all the struggles that endured me things are coming to focus in life for me as I am head on strong to reach my goals and I have no limits to my boundaries, for everything comes with a price and meaning.
