Job Shadow
What I did for my job shadow was a hands on with Alex the mechanic and how he did his job every day and why he does it. The person that I showed was Alex Mejia as a mechanic in Lindsay Tires. He let me shadow him on Wednesday 24th in August 2016. The reason why I choose Alex was because when my parents has any car troubles we go to him and he does a fantastic job with tires, oil check, suspensions, and so on. That’s one of many reasons why I chose him to interview for the day because I plan to be a mechanic as good as he is or possibly better.
What Alex showed me is that how he runs his company and how he works hard every day. I started off my greeting him and asking him how he was, then after I began asking questions and Alex was giving me strongly good answers to those questions and it made me think why he is so good at his job. After a few minutes I was so into his answers that I totally forgot that I was interviewing him. I love how he would talk to people and explaining what has happen to the vehicle. I felt really welcomed that I really wanted to work there when I graduate from college and have my degree in basic mechanic.
Alex taught me a lot on that he does throughout the day and why he does it. I and he discussed about the education that is required to have that kind of carrier. Honestly, I didn’t dislike anything from that interview. You can really tell why he loves his job because the way he explained it to me was so in detailed that I became speechless and don’t know how to explain it.
After I finished my interview with Alex I was very satisfied with all the information and answers he has provided for me in that kind of environment. I would love to go back and talk to Alex about his job any day of the week. He really made it so interesting because he loves what he does and as the time goes by more and more people goes to his shop and fix their vehicle more and more people will be satisfied by his work that you’ll want to come back again, because he is so polite, really good at his job and so interesting
